Dementi Independent Photographic Agency

The Dementi Independent Photographic Agency was established in Wrocław, in August 1982 and functioned as an independent publisher until 1991. In the years 1982–1989 Dementi operated outside the communist monopoly of the press as an illegal, conspiratorial group. The work of the agency was a form of rejection of the breach of human rights and the repression of “Solidarności” represented by the introduction of martial law in Poland.
